Hey guys! I'd firstly like to apologise for not posting for a while, i have been away on holidays and haven't had the chance to post but...i have had some new ideas for posts so this brings me to this post here. Beach Wear! On my holiday i had a week in Noosa, the beautiful Sunshine Coast. Hot sun, beautiful blue clear water, cold ice-cream and of course lots of swimming! Unfortunately the swell was quite flat which meant limited surfing, but on the bright side there was lots of kayaking and SUP (Stand up paddle boarding)!
Now, the purpose of this post is not to make you jealous of the trip but to share the styles and outfits i wore, not only in Noosa but in Manly and on the Sydney National Park Walk where i stopped off at certain bays along the way. I always find it hard to work out what to wear when going to the beach. There's always the problem of wanting to look stylish and nice as well as being dressed practically for whatever adventures you have in store for the day. I thought i would show you these photos for inspiration and for you to see what i (and my close friend) would usually wear. Hope you enjoy!
Ever heard of Coachella? Well if you have, yet you have no idea what it is, then you're in luck! Coachella is a massive 'Valley Music and Arts Festival' where over half a million people come together (including celebrities) dressed in colourful hipster/bohemian outfits and basically just listen to awesome bands and music. It's like an indie music festival! This massive event has been held in Indio, California in the Coachella Valley of Southern California's Colorado Desert region. Could it get any cooler?
Imagine this, you and your friends all go to Indio, California dressed as hipster as possible and rock out to awesome music in the middle of a desert! That pretty much sums up Coachella. If you're ever wandering what to wear to music festivals then Coachella is the place to go/see/etc.!
Why am i talking about this? Well, although Coachella is an awesome event, the best thing about it is the fashion! There are endless hipster outfits and styles that are so crazy, weird and trendy all at the same time! The outfits are so creative and fun and are full of colour and life that it's hard to stand out! No one worries about whether they look weird or different as everything and one looks weird and different. Even if you don't go, just by looking at photos and knowing about Coachella can really inspire you when trying to create your own style.
If you're trying to figure out what your style is, then try to be brave and 'take risks' to see what style works for you. People aren't going to judge you for having a style, if anything they're probably wishing they had the same outfit/style as you. Coachella is so trendy and cool as it allows people to embrace their style in a fun care-free way.
Don't worry about what other people think. Embrace your own style.
I don't know if it's the same for you, but although there are thousands of crazy, cool, groovy accessories and pieces of clothing to wear i never find myself having the guts to pull them out of my wardrobe and wear them out in public. If you walk out wearing something that's totally different to what everyone else is wearing you feel as if you're standing out or that you're wearing the wrong thing. That exact same feeling went through my mind the other day when i wore a white, fluffy vest.
Fur's and other puffed up items of clothing are soo cool to wear and literally go with everything...yet you don't see many people wearing them out casually these days. Due to these fluffy vests having a completely different texture to most other items of clothing, it makes them perfect to wear with anything! Depending on what you wear with it, they can be worn casually or formally. They come in heaps and heaps of colours and designs and are perfect for winter! Furs are practically the 'go to' when you're stuck for ideas and need something, well, awesome to wear!
Although there are all of these benefits associated with furs and other puffed up vests and jackets, they are still rarely seen around the street. This may sound cheesy, but if you really want to create your own style and be yourself, be brave and take out those funky items of clothing out of your wardrobe and try them on. You'll be surprised at how good it feels when you're not worrying about what people think of you and just be yourself.
